Barbara J. Beyer, 73, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on December 19th. Known affectionately as Bobbie to friends and family, Barbara was the beloved wife of Dennis Beyer and a devoted mother to Michael (Barbara-Jean), Bryan (Eileen), the late Steven (Margaret), and Amy (Anthony). She was a proud and loving grandmother to Anna, Nichole, Michael Jr., Madalyne, William, Dylan, Ara, Declan, Brayden, Paula (Peter) and Candace, each of whom brought her immense joy.
Barbara grew up in Pequannock, New Jersey, alongside her siblings Debbie (Keith), Scott, and Patty. From a young age, she had a deep love for music. She played the flute, cherished classical music, and pursued her passion by attending college for music. Music remained a central part of her life, and she lovingly instilled that same appreciation and joy for music in her children.
A devout Christian, Barbara lived her faith through her actions—always showing compassion, generosity, and selfless love to others. Caring for those around her was second nature to her, and she consistently put the needs of others before her own.
Creativity was one of Barbara’s many gifts. She loved to sew, making clothes for her children when they were young, and later found joy in knitting hats, scarves, and blankets for family and loved ones. She also had a talent for shopping and took great pride in always finding the best deals, something her family fondly remembers.
Barbara had a deep love for animals and was known for rescuing cats and dogs in need, opening her heart and home to them. While she loved all animals, dachshunds were her favorite breed and held a special place in her heart.
Barbara is now resting in peace with her beloved son, Steven. Her legacy of faith, love, kindness, creativity, and devotion to family will live on in all who were fortunate enough to know her.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Viewing on Tuesday December 30th, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am, at the Joseph A. Sannutti Funeral Home, 7101 Torresdale Ave. Phila. PA 19135. Interment will follow at Magnolia Cemetery.
