Jim passed from this world on 10/18/2024. He was the beloved son of the late William and Eleanor Flynn. he is survived by his beloved wife, Christina Maribello, his sister, Diane (Tammy), his Aunt Carol (Agdalene), and his nieces. nephews, and cousins. He was also the brother of the late Robert "Bob" and the late Susan (Fred Rodgers).
Jim grew up in Philadelphia. He attended St. Bernard's grade school and graduated from Lincoln High School. He was an altar boy and a boy scout. Jim studied Piano at Settlement Music School. His love of music resulted in trips to New York City and downtown Phila.for the theatre and fine dining. He loved the Phila. Orchestra and always made note, he built the stairs at the Kimmel Center. Jim was a retired Phila. Union Carpenter with a few years in New Jersey. He spent time in Saude Arabia building a palace. Jim had a pilots licence. He flew a plane in the past, so of course, there were air shows to be attended. There was bike riding in Lehigh Tannery(Pocono's), along the Lehigh River Trail and in New Jersey. Jim loved the Phillies and trips to spring training in Clearwater, Florida, but the first part of the trip was, Crystal River, to see the manatees and fish in the gulf. Over the past few years , Jim worked for Stout"s and drove a huge coach bus. He loved driving the sports teams. His main passion resurfaced - fishing. Jim loved bass fishing. The bass took him to upstate New York, Chesapeake Bay, and Penna.
Jim's life is to be celebrated. Think of him, not with sorrow, but know he passed into peace. Jim is in the loving arms of his Lord. Dearest Jim - You were truly loved by many and will be missed.
