Joanne (Augustine) D'Urso

Joanne C (Augustine) D’Urso, of Philadelphia, passed away on February 4th surrounded by her family. She was 77 years old.

Joanne was a graduate of Little Flower Catholic High School for Girls, Class of 1964 and Manor College, Class of 1966. She worked as a registered nurse for over 40 years. Joanne loved her family, attending her senior citizen groups, QVC shopping, trips to the casino, doo wop music, and watching her Philadelphia Phillies. She was strong, kind, compassionate and found joy in doing for others. She brought joy and love to those who knew her, leaving a permanent mark on the lives she touched. She is preceded in death by her parents John and Anne. She is survived by her loving and devoted daughter, Nicole McCormac (Geoff), and cherished by her only granddaughter, Alexandra.  She will forever be lovingly remembered by her brother John (Rita), and sister Dianne (Dennis).  She will be greatly missed by her many loving nieces and nephews along with her great nieces and nephew. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Visitation at St. Matthew Church, 3000 Cottman Avenue, Phila. PA 19149 on Friday, February 9th from 9:15-10:15 AM followed by Mass at 10:30 AM. Interment will take place at Oakland Cemetery.
