Kirsten Geisler Obituary

Kirsten A. Geisler passed away January 15,2023.
She was the beloved daughter of Donald R. and the late Kathleen E. (nee Hughes),
cherished sister of the late Karen A. Kane (Christopher), Karol A. Nelson (David), Kristina A.
Dormer (Michael), the late Kathy A. Binczewski, Rudolph K. (Barbara), and Patrick J.
(Gina). She leaves behind many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, godchildren, nieces and
nephews.
Kirsten grew up in the Mayfair section of Philadelphia and was a graduate of Saint Leo’s
Elementary school and Saint Hubert’s High School. She also took classes in business
administration at Saint Joseph’s University.
Professionally, Kirsten worked in the paper industry her entire career, starting with
Lindenmeyer paper company right out of high school. The industry went through numerous
mergers and name changes throughout her career, but Kirsten loved what she did, and
stayed within the paper industry for her entire career, and her last position was as a pricing
specialist at Veritiv corporation. She especially enjoyed working with customers and other
employees to assist them in understanding myriad automated system implementations and
changes over the years.
Kirsten loved her family, and this love shined through in her actions. She took time off work
at the birth of each of her nieces and nephews to help the new parents adjust to life with a
new little one. As her nieces, nephews and Godchildren grew, overnight stays at Aunt
Kirsten’s house became cherished memories, as did trips to Disney World for her
Godchildren. She always had time to genuinely listen and provide support to anyone in need,
no matter the issue. She also became the primary caregiver for her parents as they aged
and required additional assistance.
Kirsten loved movies and books, especially science fiction. She was the world’s biggest
Star Wars fan, and the Harry Potter books/movies and Game of Thrones series were also
particular favorites. She also loved the Jersey shore and Disney World, particularly family
vacations to these destinations.
