Lucia Sara Palermo (nee Serra), passed away November 19, 2022.
She was the beloved wife of the late Frank, devoted mother of Joseph, Maria Rosa (the late Stan), Rita, Frank, and Lucia DaCosta (Marcio), cherished grandmother of Kyle Rosa, Sofia DaCosta, and Juliana DaCosta, and the loving sister of Tony Serra, Carmela Pettet (Paul), Angelo Serra (deceased), Frances Serra, Rita Cardamone (deceased), and Elena Farina.
Lucia was born on December 13, 1936 in Roggiano Gravina Calabria Italy to Luigi and Rosa Serra.
She came to America in 1958 and settled in Philadelphia. She loved to cook and make Italian specialties for her family and friends. She was a gifted seamstress and made some of the most beautiful clothes for her children. She worked at H&H Electrical Parts Manufacturer for over 10 years and was a member of the Our Lady of Consolation Seniors Club. She loved sewing and spending time with family.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Viewing on Wednesday, November 23rd, from 9:00 AM to 10:15 AM and Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM, at Our Lady of Consolation Church, 7051 Tulip St., Phila., PA 19135. Interment to follow at Magnolia Cemetery.
