Robert A. Dott, age 72, passed away September 17, 2021.
Bobby was the devoted father of the late Helene, cherished Pop Pop of Matthew, Tyler, Ian and Jace, beloved son of the late Robert and Nancy Dott, loving brother of John (Karen), Jim (Mary), Diane (Bob), Tom (Jenn) and the late Kenneth. He is also survived by Helen Fabey and Sally Kane and her children Jackie, Chrissy and Jason . He will be missed by many nieces and nephews. He has also left behind many lifelong friends.
Bobby was a proud member of the US Army and served in the 173rd airborne brigade. Later in life he helped many veterans with disability claims, that they deserved. He became a nurse and worked most of his career at the Veterans Hospital. He was a lifelong member of Glading Memorial Presbyterian Church.
Bobby was probably known to many because of his boisterous personality. There was never a situation or occasion where Bobby would sit quietly. You were going to smile or laugh whether you wanted to or not. He could crack up an entire room.
After 21 years he has been reunited with his daughter Helene who he has missed so much. His welcome to heaven must have included the best hugs he has ever looked forward to.
Thank you for your service to our country and always making us laugh. We love him and he will be missed by many.
